No.13: Regularly check your customer contact forms.
So, is this an unlucky number 13? Or an embarrassing admission? I’d say both.
One week last year, I discovered that both contact forms on my website were suddenly failing to trigger their email alerts when a prospective client has submitted their details. They had worked seamlessly before, for many years, but I had taken my eye off the ball and hadn’t tested them recently.
Everything was fixed quite quickly, and I immediately set up a recurring calendar appointment to check them each week. My advice: do the same for your website.
