No.19: Tell Google Business Profile when you’re closed.
Small businesses: as you’ll be aware, your Google Business Profile (formerly known as Google My Business) enables you to display your regular opening hours.
Importantly, though, when there are forthcoming Bank Holidays and public holidays (like the two coming up in May), you have the opportunity to show that you will be closed for the day. If you are, then it’s beneficial to do this.
These settings help Google to know that your business is still active, long-term, which is a plus point in their algorithms. They are also displayed within your Google Maps details, along with your contact details and customer reviews. More about those another time.
