A new look for our WEBSITE WEDNESDAYs 💥

Reminder: These WEBSITE WEDNESDAY posts feature top tips for your business website/social media to help attract new customers.

No.21: Ensure your hashtags are accessible.

It’s a great tip in general to ensure that everything is accessible on your website and other communications. Anything that improves clarity is good for everyone.

On social media and LinkedIn, when you include multi-word hashtags, make sure you now capitalise the first letter from each word (e.g. #WebsiteWednesday). This simple step doesn’t affect the reach of each hashtag, but makes them much easier to read, especially for people with certain visual impairments.

Note, technically, these are called ‘Title Case’ hashtags (or ‘Pascal Case’ or ‘Camel Case’ hashtags for some reason).

Keep a lookout for a whole range of WEBSITE WEDNESDAY tips, all with the aim of attracting more site visitors and sales for your business. And if you’d like to propose a topic, just comment below.
