The return of WEBSITE WEDNESDAY! 💥
Here’s another important top tip for your business website.
No.26: Be the authoritative voice and use long-tail keywords.
Whether you’re an accountant, a florist, a landscape gardener, a training provider… once you become established, you will have picked up skills that people need. Publish a separate page or a blog about each of these skills, on your website, and set appropriate SEO settings with a suitable ‘long-tail keyword’, and it will help people to find you.
Long tail keywords include finer details and are often targeted at smaller, niche audiences. They can lead to higher rankings and more clicks, as fewer of your competitors will be using them. An example for a florist might be “best seasonal wreath designs using holly leaves and ivy”, rather than simply “wreaths”.
So, be the authoritative voice about something on your website. Publish something that’s unique to your business, in your catchment area. And experiment with more-detailed long-tail keywords, to get seen.
If you need help with this, I’m a professional website content writer/proofreader and SEO expert. Someone who will keep your target audience(s) in mind, whilst focusing on your keywords, readability, site structure, calls to action and customer conversion processes.
